Neglection… it was worth it

Oy, it has been around two weeks since I have posted. August 20th, when the Daniel Academy began, I hit the ground running. From that to a whirlwind visit with my little sis’. :) Then I was struck down by a cold/sore throat/fever combination. Recovered in time to catch up with my algebra classes and jump into GBF. (Our monthly three-day fast). Which was wonderful, by the way. And now, it is the spiritual warfare conference and monthly accountability forms for my worship team are due.

I had a great study though during GBF. On Tuesday I began reading and taking notes on Word of Life by Oden. I am beginning a study of Jesus – Christology is the theological term. I can’t wait to see the fruit of my study and to get more clarity on so much of what I believe.

The best however was Wednesday when I was studying Revelation 12. I finished verses 7-13 and began verses 14-17. First of all, End-Times studies get me so excited. I come away fairly buzzing from delving into the book of Revelation. Ask my roommates. :)   Have you every meditated on the beauty and joy of the fact that Satan will not be the accuser forever? Jesus is so good. Even more, as much as Jesus hates the enemy, God tolerates his presence in heaven for this temporary age. Unto the growth of love in my heart. Quoting Jesus, if you love Him, you obey Him. The accuser goes forth cursing and planting snares. That is evil and terrible. But you know what? When we choose God in the midst of trials, the fruit is great. It is called love in our hearts. Mistreatment and pain is a difficult thing, but believers have been given a gift. When we choose God in the midst of difficult circumstances and walk out the Sermon on the Mount, the reward – in this life and in the next – is very great. God is so good. He uses the enemy to refine and reward us. All for love. Rev. 12:10. It’s good. Go sing it and meditate on it. ;-)
