All I can say is that the order by President Mubarak to troops to “let them [palestinians from the gaza strip] come to eat and buy food and go back, as long as they are not carrying weapons”. Is just a little ridiculous, considering the state of the border.

Everyone together now…
“Oy this Blog needs to be updated…”
I know. I agree, and I am entirely for having an updated blog. However, my creative energies often get depleted by teaching 3&4’s once a week and high schoolers twice a week. Excuses aside, I am going to put forth the effort to update this blog twice a week! [...]

The typical Topic
Yes, that’s right, I am going to blog about the weather. Tis’ true it is a sorry topic to choose. 1. it’s impersonal. 2. it has been blogged about excessively.
However, I don’t really mind. For one thing, I prefer to maintain some ‘impersonality’ on this blog. After all, I think many of my readers are [...]

snow, Snow, SNOW!
That’s right, yesterday we had our first big snowfall in KC. I was hugely suprised to see how quickly it appeared. My semi-comatose roommate asked if it was snowing around 9:30am, I was a bit cynical at the possibility of snow. It looked to be a grey day. By 9:45, little bits of flakes were [...]

Privacy and Defending the vulnerable
Quoting Senator Obama “The role of the [supreme] court is to protect people who may be vulnerable”.
From the Democratic presidential candidate’s debate a few nights ago… I find it particulary interesting that the primary democratic defense against abortion, is the woman’s right to privacy. The candidates continually cried out for privacy! Privacy! Simultaneously stating that the [...]

The Packing Woes
Yesterday I was up and zooming around in a borrowed car fairly early for me. I am one of those zero to sixty in 2 hours kind of people when I get up in the morning. But with the aid of a little starbucks gingerbread latte, I was on the search for boxes.
By now I [...]

Will we compromise?
This next presidential election is clearly a little frightening. With a republican in office for two terms, the historical pattern is for the country to swing in entirely the opposite direction and vote in a democrat. Conservative evangelicals are a little jumpy.
The candidates are such a random group, all hungering for that position of power [...]

2 weeks later…
It has been two weeks since I blogged. Not that anyone is probably reading this blog. I believe my lack of faithfulness in this area has likely caused my readership to drop to ‘absolute zero’ levels. I don’t really mind. I have been trying to keep my priorities in order, and blogging is not a [...]
