Verbal Processing?

So, I think I am a pathetic blogger. But, as I sit here in my empty living room I need something to occupy my time. To clarify, something that is godly and will not clutter my spirit like the mindless entertainment of a movie. Perhaps I am in an Eeyore mood today. Ho hum. 🙂 I laugh at myself. Ah, Amanda, get over yourself.

Let’s see, events of the day… Had an interesting discussion about the Great White Throne Judgment versus the Judgement seat of Christ. Rather a bit frustrating though. We get so locked into our paradigms of judgment and End-Times! It is a simple concept… Jesus’ judgment is initial and the Great White Throne is the final. Of course, the repropate a.k.a. resurrection of condemnation will experience judgment for eternity. Plus, we think judgment and imagine a great hall, crowds of people, Jesus sitting on a throne. That idea is fun and romantic, but not practical! There are going to probably be a BILLION saints who are resurrected! Everyone from Abraham to King David to my grandma! I don’t know how Jesus is going to sort it all out, but it will definitely involve a process. The judgment seat of Christ has to be more about governing the earth and the position of government granted to each of us.

Do you know how long 1,000 years is? Sometimes it seems to me a really short time. In comparison to eternity, it is miniscule. But, then I reflect on 1,000 years ago, and that was the dark ages. Well, it likely was not dark to them, I laugh at my lack of education…. per Petrarch “amidst the errors there shone forth men of genius, no less keen were their eyes, although they were surrounded by darkness and dense gloom”. I mean, seriously, we seem to be leaving the ‘age of reason’. The young people of this generation embrace far more spirituality than our ‘reason focused’ forebearers would have approved of.

I will leave you with those thoughts…
